AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH PROJECT DEADMAN'S OWN- PROZAK!!
HODGE- Welcome PROZAK! I'm glad to finally be able to conduct this interview with you. We've crossed paths numerous times over the years but due to conflicting schedules and mix ups we've never been able to get it done. Again, glad to get this opportunity man.
PROZAK- No doubt, dog, glad to do this with ya'll.
HODGE- Alright for the past 5 years you've organized and performed at the WICKEDSTOCK supershow. You've managed to bring in some of the most well known acts in the Detroit/Underground music scene. Can you school everybody reading this about who all will be rocking the mic at this years WICKEDSTOCK 6 in Saginaw MI on Feb 12th!
PROZAK- Shit , this year is the 6th annual WICKEDSTOCK, and it's rollin' deep. We got, of course, PROJECT:DEADMAN(PROZAK & MIKE E. CLARK), TECH N9NE , KING GORDY, THE R.O.C., and more.
HODGE- Okay, now theirs no denying just how impressive PROJECT DEADMAN'S debut album "Self Inflicted" was! I think that release took the the underground wickedshit scene by storm. Now that MIKE E. CLARK is the world's busiest producer again (currently working on ICP's upcoming albums), is their still gonna be room in his schedule to begin the next chapter of PROJECT DEADMAN? The album is already highly anticipated.
PROZAK- Of course. Mike E. Clark is sick with it. He can handle all of these projects like nothing dog. He is sick with it. Besides, MEC is one half of PROJECT:DEADMAN, so of course dude will have time, infact it's already underway.
HODGE- In the past year and a half you've toured with and performed shows with such known artists as- TECH N9NE, KING GORDY, TWIZTID, INSANE CLOWN POSSE, MARZ, VANILLA ICE, ANBODY KILLA, etc. How did this exposure to an unsuspecting audience affect your fanbase?
PROZAK- It was great. Much love to TWIZTID, and ICP, the MAN'S MYTH TOUR, and HALLOWICKED tour was off the fucking hook. That was dope as hell that they put us on like that, and let us rock them shows.
HODGE- You appeared on half of the tracks on TWIZTID's 2005 FRIGHFEST EP. However, you performed at ICP's annual HALLOWICKED. It seemed kinda strange that PROJECT DEADMAN performed at ICP's show but appeared on TWIZTID's soundtrack for their annual show. Were you initially scheduled to appear at FRIGHTFEST instead?
PROZAK- Well, we were offered by TWIZTID to perform at FRIGHT FEST, but, before the offer, we had asked PSY if there was an opening spot on the HALLOWICKED. So we went and did that.
HODGE- Way back in the late 90's when you were first breaking into the music business you would often do security for THE R.O.C. and the second coming of the HOUSE OF KRAZEES. Later when you were in your first group BEDLAM, you did a track with THE R.O.C. and SKRAPZ called "Murder Parade". That song was lethal man! Fans of your music have always been interested in hearing more collaborations with yourself and THE R.O.C.. I've heard rumors that you actually recorded an earlier version of the PROJECT DEADMAN track "Access Denied" with a guest appearance by THE R.O.C. I dig the album version featuring TECH N9NE and KING GORDY, but is their any chance that your fans will be able to hear THE R.O.C. version of that song as well?
PROZAK- Yeah, I'll leak it on line sooner or later.
HODGE- Speaking of collaborating with artists, you've already built up an impressive list of rappers you've linked. The list includes such rappers as- TWIZTID, PROJECT BORN, LAVEL, MASTAMIND, ESHAM, HALFBREED(THE R.O.C. & SKRAPZ), THE DAYTON FAMILY, MC BREED, TECH N9NE, KING GORDY, and CAPONE(of SIMKEN HEIGHTS). Is their any artist out there that you haven't yet worked with, but would like to?
PROZAK- Yeah, I would like to do something with ICP, I think that would be sick.
HODGE- Theirs one rare song of yours that I found online that I've always wondered about. The song I'm referring to is called "Klone" and features YOURSELF, ANYBODY KILLA, LAVEL, and MADNESS(former partner in BEDLAM). The song was somewhat of a remix of the NIRVANNA song "Lithium". Whose album was this "Klone" song supposed to be on? Why was this song scrapped?
PROZAK- HA hA. Ok, that was not for a record, that was just some comedy we did one night drunk as all fuck. We looped the beat, and all spent maybe 5-10 minutes writing it. It was just for our own comedy.
HODGE- I haven't seen or heard about any of the artists that are supposed to be performing at this years big Gathering of the Juggalos convention. Any word if you and MIKE E. CLARK are scheduled to perform?
PROZAK- Bro, I have no clue on it. But you know the Gathering is always dope as fuck, so I'm sure they got it hooked up.
HODGE- In a recent conversation, you mentioned to me about this horror movie project you might have in the works. Are you able to disclose any info about this horror movie you're working on?
PROZAK- I will say this, I am filming this spring/summer. I wrote the script, and am in the stages of casting. It will be a full length feature and of course will be horror. The sound track will be just as ill.
HODGE- Alright man, before we wrap up this interview is their anything you wanna say to your fans reading this?
PROZAK- I wanna say this, much love to all yall who bought our debut album, and wait till you sick fucks hear the new PROJECT:DEADMAN record. ITSGONNA CRUSH BITCH!! Much love ya'll!
HODGE- Thanks again for taking the time out to conduct this interview with me. You've put in a lot of hard work over the years and it looks like it's all really starting to pay off.in a big way homie. Don't stop doing what you're doing man!
PROZAK- NEVER!
