AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH "JEEPERS CREEPERS" MONSTER- JONATHAN BRECK...
This past weekend I was able to meet up with JEEPERS CREEPERS star JONATHAN BRECK. In case you're trying to remember which charectar he played...he was the MONSTER! That's right, I've just conducted an exclusive interview with the winged mass murderer himself. Before he was piecing body parts together in the wall linings of his underground lair, you may have caught Breck in roles on such tv shows and movies as Jag, Star Treck Voyager, Spiders, Full Circle, etc. The interview covers a range of topics from- JEEPERS CREEPERS 3, past roles, future roles, a CREEPER action figure, friends in the business, and more. Enjoy killaz!

HODGE- Welcome Jonathon! Your life must be pretty hectic nowadays with the success of the JEEPERS CREEPERS films. Can fans expect a third film in the near future?

JONATHAN BRECK- The studio (MGM) has expressed an interest in doing a third installment. The script will be written soon and we hope to start production next year.

HODGE- I’ve heard rumors that your going to be starring in a new dark comedy film about clones. Any truth to this? When do you start filming?

JONATHAN BRECK- Yes. The film "I Left Me" has already been completed and will appear at Sundance in January. It's a hilarious and ultimately disturbing look at the dangers of cloning. It was a big challenge for me as an actor, as I played the dual roles of the main character and his clone... a la Jeremy Irons in "Dead Ringer".

HODGE- Didn’t you also land a role in an upcoming supernatural film that’s supposed to go to the Sundance film festival? What’s the scoop with that film?

JONATHAN BRECK- Yes. I just completed a film called "Dreamland", a sci-fi thriller about the famed Area-51. We don't know if we'll make Sundance but it has already generated quite a buzz around town and should be released early next year.

HODGE- Can you give us a hint on how the Creeper might return in the next film? He didn’t appear very capable of a return at the end of part 2.

JONATHAN BRECK- Don't ever underestimate The Creeper, baby! I don't know how he'll come back yet. But I guarantee it will be bigger and badder than you can imagine. Hold onto your skin!

HODGE- Since the JEEPERS CREEPERS films have done so well, will any action figures be released?

JONATHAN BRECK- There is already an action figure on the market from the first film, made by Majestic Studios.

HODGE- How long does it take to get into your Creeper costume?

JONATHAN BRECK- A good day 4 hours, a bad 7 hours.

HODGE- Have you appeared in any films prior to JEEPERS CREEPERS?

JONATHAN BRECK- Yes, I've done 23 films ranging from Independent features to Cable( HBO, UPN ) to television shows. Any fans interested in a list of some of my films should visit IMDB.com and query my name.

HODGE- Are you going to be a guest at any more big Horror Conventions this year?

JONATHAN BRECK- The only other meeting I'll be attending this year is in Boston in October..."Rock and Shock"! Work here in LA keeps me pretty busy.

HODGE- Who are some of your closest friends in the movie business?

JONATHAN BRECK- Believe it or not, several people I met making the Jeepers Creepers movies. Victor Salva, Brian Penikas, Ray Wise, Billy Aaron Brown. I've made some new friends in the horror genre, too: Tony Todd, Andrew Bryniarski, and Bill Mosely, to name a few.

HODGE- Do you have a favorite horror film?

JONATHAN BRECK- I can't really single out one...although when I saw "When A Stranger Calls" as a kid it freaked me out...still does.

HODGE- Well, I really appreciate you taking this time out of your busy schedule to conduct this interview with me man. Any last words for your fans reading this?

JONATHAN BRECK- Thank you! Horror fans are truly the best fans in the world. You guys are who we make these films for. Knowing you support us and appreciate the work we do makes it so much easier to put in the exhausting hours and go through all we do to put good movies on the screen. Keep going and we'll keep making them.
